Anycom, a German company trying very hard to become 'the world's first brand name recognized for bluetooth', has released what it brags is one of the world's first speaker systems to integrate Bluetooth technology.

The ANYCOM BIWAS-20 speaker plays audio streams in the high-quality format of the Bluetooth specification (A2DP profile) which allows signals to be received from different audio sources:

* Mobile Phones and PDAs supporting the A2DP profile
* Any analogue audio source like TVs, MP3 player or stereo systems by connecting it to the ANYCOM audio gateway with the 3.5 mm audio jack
* PCs, Notebooks or XP Media Center PCs equipped with the ANYCOM USB-250 adapter which is provided with the ANYCOM BIWAS-20

The Anycom BIWAS-20 is a 2.1 speaker system with a bass driver subwoofer and two integrated satellite speakers, powered by a 20 watt(RMS) amplifier. Simply connect the unit's main power, and make a wireless connection via Bluetooth 1.2 Class 2 for an indoor range of up to 100 feet (30 metres) and an outdoor range of up to 250 feet (80 metres).

The Anycom BIWAS-20 Bluetooth speaker system boasts many practical uses including a main or additional speaker system for your Media Center PC, to send music to different rooms in your house or office, for your backyard parties, or as a portable speaker system for your iPod or cell phone.

The Anycom BIWAS-20 Bluetooth speaker system includes mounting hardware allowing you to easily wall-mount the speakers also if you wish.
